Session 1: What exactly is eLearning?

Hang on...before we get started...what exactly IS eLearning?


eLearning often gets dumped into the quick and easy category – but as many of you can attest it is neither of those things!

So, what exactly is eLearning? In it’s simplest form eLearning is learning designed utilizing electronic technologies to access educational curriculum outside of a traditional classroom.  In most cases, it refers to a course, program or degree delivered completely online.

So, that’s a pretty broad spectrum. Could that include a powerpoint? A video? A word document you read and check a box? So, basically anyone who has a computer is completing eLearning?
